It’s been a while since my last Blogpost and it’s time to say something!
I have been hibernating, gathering, attuning, resting (ok-napping!), soaking it in, avoiding reality, looking for where and what to place it all.Four years ago I started the Wise Women Retreats and Workshops. They have been enlightening and empowering and I am filled with gratitude for all of the wonderful women I have encountered and whose stories I have witnessed.
We are truly a remarkable group, doing so much for each other and others and hopefully, ourselves.
I still strongly believe that this time of life, after menopause, our queen and crone years, can be as juicy and meaningful and more so, than any other time of our life. If we take care of ourselves, truly sort through what does and does not bring us ‘joy’ and get rid of those things and relationships that do not, we can hone these years like a fine instrument and make some sense of what it is we truly are living out, on our own particular path.
For me, at this moment, the challenge is moving the conversation away from what do I do with my time, buy or sell? travel or take a class? complain about the kids? see the glass half full or empty? talk and listen to endless conversations about illness and medical issues (there must be a limit!)
to…..what if…what can I do…how can I do it…and why not, now. In other words, we keep on living as if we are alive !
So, I invite you to take a deep deep long breath or two and as you fill your lungs with blessed oxygen…repeat a little mantra to yourself. I wouldn’t dream of telling you what it should be. I’m no Guru. When you find it….let me know what it is. I’m curious…forever curious and that’s what I wish for you.
This month I’m reading poetry: https://sally-brucker-r3zl.squarespace.com/config/pages/5a70b470085229767bf22a15
We Crones are here…we’re everywhere and we are rising!
Blessings to you,
Sally
